PROBLEMS FACED IN THE PROCESS OF CREATING AN EFFECTIVE LEARNING-TEACHING ENVIRONMENT ACCORDING TO THE OPINIONS OF TEACHERS

In the research, it is aimed to determine the problems encountered in the process of creating an effective learning-teaching environment according to the opinions of the teachers. For this purpose, interviews were conducted with teachers working at various educational levels. In line with the determined purposes, the phenomenology design, one of the qualitative research designs, was determined as the model of the research. The study group of the research consists of 32 teachers working in primary schools in Malatya, Diyarbakır, Muş and Adıyaman provinces in the 2021-2022 academic years. The teachers in the study group were determined by the maximum variation sampling method, one of the purposive sampling methods. The data collected with a semistructured interview form were analysed by descriptive and content analysis. In this research, inadequate size of the classrooms, crowded classrooms, inadequacy and inappropriateness of the school garden, lack of gymnasium, lack of equipment, school and classroom cleaning, double education, lack of sound insulation, location of the classroom and building, insufficient lighting, electricity and water cuts, colours used in classroom and school paint are the physical problems encountered in an effective learning-teaching environment. In addition, in the research, it was determined that the indifference of the families, the lack of sufficient support by the school administration, the excess of course hours, the lack of sufficient time, the economic reasons, the opportunities of the school, the excess number of students, bureaucratic procedures, the unwillingness of the students are the social-culturalsportive problems encountered in the effective learning-teaching environment.
