Abstract

This research aims to deeply examine the opinions and experiences of classroom teachers regarding the use of technology in the digital age. We live in the information age and digital technologies have an important place in education as well as in every aspect of our lives. Especially since the primary education period is a critical phase in the development of the individual, the effective use of technology in this period is of great importance. In this study, the thoughts, experiences and expectations of classroom teachers working in primary schools in Osmaniye province regarding technology integration were examined. In the study, the data obtained using the semi-structured interview method provides detailed information about how teachers use digital technologies in education, the difficulties they encounter in this process, and their expectations for the future. The findings show that teachers believe that digital technologies can be used as a versatile tool in primary education. However, it is also emphasized that teachers need to participate in technological development programs, that the technological infrastructure of schools should be strengthened, and that students should be supported to use technology effectively. This study once again reveals the importance of technology in education in the digital age and sheds light on teachers’ opinions and experiences on this subject. The findings obtained contain important information that can guide educational policies and practices. In summary, this research provides a comprehensive examination of classroom teachers’ use of technology in the digital age. The study takes an important step towards the more effective use of technology in education by revealing teachers’ thoughts, experiences and expectations on technology integration.
