SHARED LEADERSHIP PERCEPTIONS OF TEACHERS WORKING IN SECONDARY EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS

In this study, it was aimed to examine the perceptions of teachers working in high schools regarding shared leadership. The descriptive method based on the general scanning model was preferred as a method in the research with the determined purpose. The universe of the research consists of teachers working in public high schools in Adıyaman in the 2021-2022 academic year. The sample of the study consists of 175 volunteer teachers who were randomly selected from the aforementioned universe. “Shared Leadership Scale” was used as a data collection tool in the research. In the study, it was determined that the shared leadership perceptions of teachers working in high schools were generally positive. According to this result, it was stated that the teachers had a perception that their school administrators had shared leadership characteristics with a high participation rate. In the study, it was determined that the shared leadership perceptions of teachers working in high schools differed significantly according to gender, graduated faculty, professional seniority, and branch variables. According to the significant difference determined, it was determined that the shared leadership perceptions of the teachers working in high schools were not similar to each other according to the variables of gender, graduated faculty, professional seniority, branch, and that the expressed variables were effective on the teachers' shared leadership perceptions.
