The concept of truth is the correspondence between the thought and its object in a philosophical sense, or the agreement of the thought with the reality. Real means that which exists concretely and objectively. What is the relationship of the meanings we deduce and believe from what we see in artistic works with truth and reality? On the one hand, metaphors that make the existing a more curious phenomenon, on the other hand, positivism that bases everything on random causes by ignoring the relationship of the images shown in art with the truth stand before us. The effect of positivism and simulation concepts has drawn communication between people to a simulative environment and weakened face-to-face communication. Today, forgetting that the works expressed in artistic works are "only a representation of the truth" and perceiving illusions as real has put us in a simulative life form. The aim of this article is to help determine to what extent embodied simulations take the place of reality, and whether human beings can be reduced to mechanization within the framework of reality and truth principle. For this reason, it has been tried to make evaluations on illusions and reality by referring to concepts such as the act of seeing, truth and simulation. The traces of illusions in art were tried to be caught by giving examples from Candaş Şişman and Camilo Matiz
