Abstract

People have been in an effort to transfer their life experiences and observations that they have internalized for centuries to future generations. Art, which not only embodies the inner dynamism of the human being but also emerges as the product of such an effort. Man has not only used his interaction with other people and nature for benefit, but has also reinterpreted it by making sense in the world of mind and spirit, and has created unique works of art by giving it an aesthetic spirit. In the context of the person who performs the art, the artist perhaps wanted to express himself to the rest of the world with his works, perhaps to be acknowledged by others. Because the work of art is both an internal reckoning of the artist and the identity of his existence. In this respect, art is the communication of the human being, who is also an artwork himself, between his time, past and the future. Communication, on the other hand, is the basic source and need in the emergence and development of art. Formations in all branches of art like painting, music, sculpture and theater emerge from such communication need of man. As one of the contemporary Turkish painters, Adem Başpınar created contemporary works of art to establish unique communication between his imaginary world and the audience. The analysis and interpretation of nine of the artist's works, which include the relationship between women men, migration, mystical and sufistic elements in his works, are the subject of this article. In this study, literature review and document review methods from qualitative research methods were used.
