A HIGHER DEGREE OF DIFFICULTY THAN STEREOMETRY DERIVES FROM THE EXPERIENCE OF PROBLEM SOLVING

Abstract

There are questions that students have difficulty solving while teaching spatial shapes in the stereometry section of the high school mathematics course. We examined two such questions in our article. The fourth ball with the same radius r is placed on the table, touching it securely, and the fifth ball with the same radius is placed over the hole they made. You need to find the distance from the top of the fifth ball to the table plane. Determine the vertex angle of the section of a cone enclosed by four equal spheres, each placed touching the other three.
