The invention of writing and its survival as an alphabet cover the most complex and adventurous pages of history. This development, which is a landmark in terms of human history, has many different periods and stages of development. Various civilizations have produced their own unique style of writing since the earliest times. Petroglyphs from the cave period, Sumerian Cuneiform, Ancient Egyptian Hieroglyphs, Ancient Chinese script and Phoenician alphabet are examples of this development process of writing. The Göktürk alphabet (Old Turkish Runic), which contributed to this development and whose secrets are still being solved, is considered among the greatest heritages of the Turks. The aim of this research is to examine the position of the Göktürk Alphabet in the historical process from cave paintings to alphabet writing and the present typographic reflections of this alphabet. In the study, content analyzes of the documents reached by using the document analysis method were made.
