There is a communication between societies with cultural figures from the past to the present. These cultural figures, which people have brought from generation to generation, have also been a part of their lives and traditions. Artists, as the reflectors of the society they live in, have undertaken these transfer tasks from the past to the present. Many artists have also expressed their reactions while addressing the current problems of the society they live in in their works. In this, they showed their feelings and thoughts by using very different fields of art. One of these fields is the art of painting. Every art has its own unique way of expression. In the art of painting, the expression of emotions and thoughts has been through colors and symbols. They blended the colors used by the artists in their works with the messages they wanted to convey, sometimes with brush strokes and sometimes with clear lines. The paintings of Murat Ağçiçek, one of the contemporary Turkish painting artists, are examined in this article. In the article, the colors and figures used by the artist are interpreted.
