Abstract

Çatalhöyük Neolithic City, which witnessed important social changes and developments such as the beginning of agriculture and hunting, along with the transition to settled social life, which is an important stage in the development of humanity, is located on an area of approximately 14 hectares in Çumra District of Konya. In this study, striking information ranging from the surprisingly modern social living standards to the culture and traditions of the mound was given. In addition, it was explained on a model that people's lifestyles, they started to produce, and that this mound, which bears the traces of the transition from village to city with the feature of the first known city plan in history, has a masonry urbanization structure of houses that can enter through the roof with a city structure without doors and streets. In this respect, Çatalhöyük, which is considered as the cultural heritage of our country, offers the opportunity for future generations to get acquainted with its history under the ground.
