Research and Development (R&D) is a set of activities established in a systematic order, which is put into use in order to increase the knowledge pool created by human, cultural and social knowledge and to develop new applications with the transfer of this knowledge. Definitions will be made and scope of R&D activities carried out in order to produce, use and maintain knowledge that has a very important place in the field of commercial, economic, economics, science and technology, and its scope will be explained. evaluation has been made. The effect of the pandemic process on the R&D activities of the enterprises in the Samsun entrepreneurship ecosystem was investigated. For this purpose, using the data of Samsun Chamber of Commerce and Industry and TUIK, the number of companies established and closed in Turkey and Samsun, the companies established and their capital status, trademark, patent, utility model, industrial design applications, foreign trade, exports and imports in the Black Sea Region situation was evaluated under the headings of vacant job recruitment, registered unemployed statistics, housing sales, and the findings were evaluated.
