PROBLEMS IN THE FIRST YEARS OF CLASS TEACHING AND SOLUTION SUGGESTIONS

In the research, it is aimed to identify the problems experienced by the teachers who started to work as classroom teachers for the first time in formal education institutions affiliated to the Ministry of National Education and to offer solutions. In line with the stated purpose, interviews were conducted with classroom teachers in the research and "What are the problems experienced in the first years of classroom teaching?" and “What are the solutions for the problems experienced in the first years of primary school teaching?” answers to the problems were sought. The sample of the research consists of 12 classroom teachers determined in the 2022-2023 academic year by criterion sampling, one of the purposeful sampling types. In the research, it was determined that in the first years of teaching, classroom teachers had problems in relation and communication with students, teachers, parents and other school stakeholders. In addition, it was determined that they had problems in terms of equipment supply, maintenance-repair works and relations with the school environment. In the research, it has been determined that students experience difficulties in terms of discipline, absenteeism, the intensity of the demands of school administrations and the inability to control the school environment. In the context of the teacher, the lack of teacher support, the indifference of the teachers, the excess demand and dissatisfaction; not being able to meet with parents in the context of parents, lack of parent support, workload and not participating in school activities; In the context of financing, it has been determined that there are difficulties in the issues of insufficient appropriations, lack of appropriations on time, lack of working cleaning personnel and high maintenance and repair costs. In addition, it was determined in the research that they struggled with the difficulties they experienced in the first years of their profession by getting support from classroom teachers, school staff, teachers and parents.
