In the historical development adventure of the crime novel, the Black Novel, which emerged as a result of social anxiety by separating from previous periods, has managed to convey this anxiety to millions of people. The Black Novel has strengthened its place in the crime novel day by day and has managed to reach the present day. In fact, this situation moves ahead Black Novel of other crime genres, and other genres of crime novels, especially Classic Police Novels and Killer Who novels, have also begun to address social issues from a critical point of view. The fact that The Rose of Amsterdam is a Black Novel allows adrenaline, excitement and mystery to continue until the end of the novel, while the critical attitude is evident until the end of the novel. However, as the title of the book suggests, this criticism is not made through the example of Turkey, but through Turks in Europe. The novel deals with the cultural corruptions of Turks living in Europe through Orhan Demir, Selma, Sabri, Aysel, Mikrop Halil and others and their disconnections with their cultures and provides a general biography of Turks living in Europe through mysteries and murders.
